DAILY MEDITATION

December 30, 2018

And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel: and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof. And so it was at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they feared not the Lord: therefore the Lord sent lions among them, which slew some of them. Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land. Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither one of the priests whom ye brought from thence; and let them go and dwell there, and let him teach them the manner of the God of the land. Then one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came and dwelt in Bethel, and taught them how they should fear the Lord.

II Kings 17:24-28

As we move to the close of another year we do so with a spirit of expectancy for the new.  This has been a year of Occupying Our Promise and the process has developed, nurtured, and revealed the fullness of God as He has lead and guided us through to get to.  Occupying Our Promise has not been easy but yet we are here moire informed, more aware, and more empowered to go forward.  The process of the journey has caused us to be both lean and strengthen although challenged and forced us to be courageous but it has been all for the good, a purposeful process for possessing our promises.  The land we possess, the promises of God for our lives, are not that we deserve them but instead because of God’s love and power which has made them available and accessible to us.  As we now Occupy Our Promise we do so learning from the journey that flexibility is a requirement, not an option, we must be versatile so that through our experiences God will shape and mold us for the good as well as mature us to our promises.  Our flexibility has given us a different view of life and the navigation of life for the promises of God in which we now focus more on what should be scattering the darkness and separation of what is, reframing our context and Transforming Spaces to accommodate, develop and nurture us for Occupying Our Promise.  We no longer are gong  through life listlessly but instead Occupying Our Promise purposely and leveraging the process for the building out of our well-lived and joy filled life, positioning us to choose life and LIVE in God’s promises!
