DAILY MEDITATION

And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the Lord, and thou hast followed Baalim. And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

I Kings 18:17-18; 21

Our witness is a powerful tool to convert not only our life but the lives of the community and space in which we exist for the fulfillment of God’s promise in and to the world. Our witness is more than what we say but also is inclusive of what we do. How we act in and through the circumstances of our lives is a powerful tool of transformation. Transformational Living is just that living in a way that transforms our life, not just in any way but for the good, revealing the possibilities of what we can accomplish that advances us in life and life more abundantly promised by God. The prophet Elijah who defied the King and Queen chose God and was hunted and endangered for his life but He revealed God and as a result, his life was a witness of God in and through circumstances that made him an overcomer. In his living, Elijah challenged his nation, community to chose based on what they had seen through Him of God in comparison to what is. The challenge of moving and advancing from what is, is to see clearly in one’s view the possibility of what should be. The witness of what is possible provides for others the impetus to seize opportunities and possibilities, although process is involved that will place them in uncomfortable situations, however because of your revealed process and outcome, they can see enduring and overcoming the process is both good and sweet. Occupy Your Promise today despite the process that may be uncomfortable for the abundance that awaits you and promised by God, is the realization of your life and life more abundantly!
