DAILY MEDITATION

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

II Peter 3:10-14

Being watchful of all things positions us to live in the promises of God for our lives, building out a well-lived and joy filled life. As we seek to move forward in our circumstances and the life that is ours we must stay constantly watchful for opportunities as well as threats to our promise. Staying watchful demands that we Fully Occupy your lives with a constant expectation of the life and life more abundantly promised. God comes as a thief in the night and we must be on our toes in order to seize opportunities and rebuff threats, which requires a constant and qualitative relationship with God and His presence in our lives. Stay focused on what should be for your life, the very promise of God for you. God’s Word is true and your actions toward the fulfillment of His Word, promise, fuels your ability to Occupy Your Promise. God is responsible and faithful to ensure that whatever you need and whatever is necessary for your well-lived and joy filled life is available to you, seize it!
