DAILY MEDITATION

March 27, 2018

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

James 1:12

The reality of life is that over and over again we are tempted.  The temptations of life are a result of the war that exists within, the struggle between our flesh and the Spirit of God that dwells inside of us.  The flesh resists the leading and guiding, the unction of The Holy Ghost, to flow in the promises of God for our lives.  No matter how much we believe what should be for our life, the flesh which represents our own will and desires, is made uncomfortable and struggle against what should be as promised.  We tend to think in the flesh that we know better and thus moving in our own way.  To overcome the power of the flesh one tool is to Strategically Plan and allow the insight and wisdom of God’s Spirit to show us the way to overcome the temptations of our flesh.  The more we resist the flesh the greater our power over the flesh.  It is through the resistance that our muscle, our faith in God and His promise to empower us to overcome, that we are able to move forward and upward.  Occupy Your Promise by resisting your flesh and desires within and allow them to be outweighed and overpowered by The Spirit of God’s leading and guiding, fueling your faith in God and the fulfillment of His promises for your life!
