DAILY MEDITATION

Now the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me. But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. But the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.

Jonah 1:1-4

Failing to embrace God’s promises for your life will create chaos and confusion in and around your life. We are often questioning why this is not so or why this is so, I would suggest to you that it has a lot to do with the context of your life, where you are. We can allow the circumstances of our lives to force us to remain stuck and frustrated or we can see the adversity of our lives as opportunity to get on track, on course with the promises for our lives. Insight is critical to advancing beyond the chaos and confusion of what is to pursue that, which should be. Taking Possession of your life in the midst of the adversity is the challenge of the adversity. God desires for you to have life and life more abundantly and has done everything for you to choose that path, even allowing the disruption within your life to make you reflective and receive insight. Take Possession of your life by receiving insight from your present reality, context, although you cannot or do not want to do what is necessary, God is with you, Emmanuel, the very coming of Christ to and for you. Occupy Your Promise is directly related to your willingness to go where you may not want to go, even when it makes no sense to you, however, in going you discover and receive everything you need and are supported to Occupy Your Promise!
