DAILY MEDITATION

November 24, 2017

Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

I Corinthians 9:24-27

Life is a race to the finish and how one runs the race determines what your finish will look like.  We live in a society in which nothing appears to matter but winning, winning at all cost.  As admirable as it is to be determined to win, one’s determination must be measured according to the long-term outcome.  What are your expected measurable outcomes should play a critical role in your determination of how you run your race, life.  God has given us the opportunity to choose life and win; exceedingly, abundantly, more than you can ever ask or think by the power that worketh in you.  As with anyone we all want to win and yes often are pressured to choose avenues of winning that in long term brings about destruction.  As a result of the compelling nature of our flesh, God has called us into co-creative relationship with Him in which He equips us with His Spirit.  Thus, Living in The Spirit keeps us in God’s ordered steps that paces and develops us through the race of life so that we win, life and life more abundantly and the bonus of eternal life.  A well-lived life brings about the abundance of God that lasts forever, even pass our flesh and the corruptible nature of things.  Let’s Go In running the race of life to finish and finish on top, in the winning circle through our focused process and journey prescribed and ordained by God!
